Legal & Payroll Calculators
Transparent estimates for benefits, pay and claims. The VA disability calculator combines your ratings by 38 CFR 4.25 exactly as a rater does, applies the bilateral factor and its 2023 exception, and gives your monthly compensation for your dependents; there are pages for the bilateral factor, the combined ratings table and the 2026 pay chart. The California paycheck calculator takes a gross salary through federal and state withholding to your take-home pay on the 2026 tables. The personal injury settlement calculator gives a rough claim value by the multiplier method, after fault, legal fees and costs. Each is a starting point for a conversation with a Veterans Service Officer, payroll provider or lawyer, not a replacement for one.

Questions about legal & payroll calculators
How accurate is the VA disability calculator?
It follows 38 CFR 4.25 and 4.26 step for step, including rounding after every combination and the 2023 bilateral factor exception, and is tested against the regulation's and the Federal Register's own examples. It cannot know how VA will rate a condition, and leaves out SMC and TDIU. Start at the VA disability calculator.
